How They Brought the Good News from Acle to the Net!

 

I sprang to the wheel, just Jake, and me;

I steered, Jake gallop'd, we speeded, tee hee!

"What speed!" cried the watch, as the gate-bolts undrew;

"Speed!" echoed the walls to us hurtling through;

Behind shut the postern, the lights sank to rest,

And into the midnight, we gallop'd our best.

 

What a load of old toffee Julia, all that digging you have been

doing must have dislodged your brain.

 

He's an old flame of mine.

 

"Nay, 'tis not true" I cry.  All this mad dashing about is just

a perfect example of my devotion to duty and desire to

please the ever growing, global army of Long Dogger's

constantly baying for something new to stitch (or stash).

 

Meanwhile, back in the real world ......
