Polling Day

After what has seemed like months of party political broadcasts,
endless photo opportunities, leaflet campaigns
and candidates on the stump, election day has finally arrived.

Here in Acle voters have been flocking to the polling station.

Some found the whole experience to be a load of old bull.

Others when asked refused to give any indication as to
which way they had voted.

In fact many people when questioned had to admit
that they were quite simply still undecided about their votes.

Early this morning shortly after voting had commenced
there was a rather nasty incident when one
eager constituent tried to jump the queue but the bobby
on the beat soon had the situation under control
with the aid of the local vet.

This year has seen a higher than usual number of floating voters,

and then, of course, there were those who just couldn't
be arsed to vote at all.

We'll just have to wait for the votes to be counted
to find out who finally wins.
